STRATEGIC PLANNING: A NECESSARY “EVIL” FOR FAMILY BUSINESSES
The pandemic caught everybody unprepared. With 2020 coming to a close, do we set high hopes for a better 2021? Can there be a viable strategy to survive, to compete, and/or to thrive when the socio-economic environment is so dynamic and ever evolving due to COVID19? It's like aiming for a moving target. Let's reflect on the significance of business planning even in these difficult times. There are things beyond forecasting for now; but there are however emerging new norms to work with and work around it. Some dusts are beginning to settle; a new future is clearer in sight. The best way to predict the future is still to create it. Vision and planning can make a difference, even if it can be short term and adaptive for now.
