She is medical doctor by original profession and faculty member of various medical schools in the city. But her desire to expand her competence in order to help more people led her to become a registered financial consultant, a pastoral counselor in the Redemptorist Family Center Cebu, an accredited addiction specialist, a study coordinator on Lundbeck Clinical Trials for Schizophrenia, and a trained family dynamics and counselling specialist by the Ateneo CEFAM. She is an active member of the Commission on Family and Life of the Archdiocese of Cebu.

Dr. Corazon "Bugsy" Canete is a consultant that focuses in Family dynamics and counselling. She is an implementor of the Family Unity Program. Family dynamics is the pattern of interaction in the family. This includes hierarchies and family roles. A healthy family dynamics includes supporting and loving the family. This is supported by open communication. Her background as a medical doctor allows her to take a holistic approach in developing family relationships that allow them to gain insights and open up on thoughts and feelings.
